about us
We are Kingsview Community Church, centrally located in the Stoney Creek and Hamilton area. We’ve got a vision for God to do some incredible things around here, and we’ve written a little about it…

- SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Which church you go to is an important decision.
It should be as important as what career we choose or where we live. It is the first place that most of us will ever truly make that spiritual connection to God. We also realize there is no “perfect church” and that it is very easy for us to find something downbeat anywhere we go. We can’t ever profess to be perfect. Only Jesus can make that claim. We’re just aiming to get as close to Him as we possibly can. And – we would be happy for you to join us in our journey along the way!
That’s why we’re working on becoming a church that offers something for everyone.
We would love for nothing else, than to see people of all ages and backgrounds be able to walk in our doors week after week, and experience the grace, love and power of God right where they’re at in life.
We want to give our children an unshakeable foundation that they will stand on for the rest of their lives. We want to teach our teenagers how to make their relationship with God their own. We want to give our young adults some stability in their ever-changing worlds. We want to provide our parents with a regular challenge from God’s Word, along with opportunities to live it out. We want to empower our seniors to give out of their years of experience, and lead us through their wisdom. We want to be a place that everyone can’t wait to come to Sunday morning, and experience God’s best for their lives.
So, whether you’re just beginning your spiritual journey, and asking questions about God, or you’re a committed Christian who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, we hope you can find a home here at KVCC.

- the FUTURE we’re looking ahead to.
We all live in a complicated world with busy lives, and in the midst of all this complexity, people want to find simplicity. People are feeling the weight of a crowded life, and are longing for simple approaches to life’s big issues.
That’s why we want to keep the vision here at Kingsview simple.
We want to be a church that people can come to and encounter the simple and powerful message of Christ - a changed life, changing lives. We want to be a church where everyone knows and talks about our vision. We want to be a church that isn’t just busy, but alive with ministries and events that are really making a difference.
And so, the revolution has begun.
Our vision here at Kingsview, is to be a church where everyone can:
- experience God in powerful worship
- experience growth in meaningful relationships
- experience destiny by taking ownership
Worship. Relationships. Ownership. That’s it.
Everyone connecting with God in powerful worship. Everyone growing through meaningful relationships. Everyone taking ownership of their God given purpose.
Imagine the body of Christ, where ALL PARTS have taken hold of this vision, and have stepped out in faith to live in it! Our churches and cities would never look the same again!
Worship. Relationships. Ownership. Everybody becoming more like Christ. Everybody coming together for a stronger community. Everybody making a difference. This is the vision we are chasing here at Kingsview.

- the PASTOR that’s leading us today.
We would love for you to get to know our pastor in person… but a brief biography is a great place to start!
It all began on September 11th, 1994. Internationally renown evangelist Rich Wilkerson, was preaching Christ at a rally where Jeff gave his heart to the Lord, and put his future in His hands. In a matter of only months, he entered into the most spiritually transforming season of his life, by committing himself to seek the Lord in the Rockford Master’s Commission. Little did he know his life would never be the same. He found his calling. He found his passion. He found his destiny.
For the next 13 years, he would be involved in the world of Master’s Commission, being trained for ministry, and pioneering 2 separate discipleship schools in Brampton, Ontario and Lakeland, Florida. Discipleship and leadership training became proven passions of his ministry focus. With many hundreds of disciples that have come through his ministry, Jeff is excited to see a fulfilling fruitfulness to his labors.
And now, Kingsview Community Church is the new focus of his ministry. Alongside his beautiful wife, Carrie, and his children (Carter and Mykah), Jeff is excited to see all of the incredible things that God is going to accomplish here at KVCC and in the Stoney Creek community. It doesn’t take long to see the fresh, creative approach he brings to the ministry, and there is a growing sense of expectation building throughout our church family for the amazing future ahead!

- the story of our past.
It all began with “Southmount Gospel Temple”, which was the fulfillment of the prayers and desire of Rev. & Mrs. Willis McPherson and their faithful congregation. Mr. & Mrs. Harold McKee donated the land after holding it for several years for a church building. On Sunday, April 13, 1969 the project was completed and dedicated to the Lord, with Rev. & Mrs. Fred Day being inducted as pastors.
In 1984, with a vision to the future, the church building was sold, and a parcel of land was purchased on the corner of Paramount Drive & Mud Street in Stoney Creek. It was here that a new place of worship known as “Mount Albion Pentecostal Church” was built. The new facilities were dedicated to the Lord on September 13, 1987.
In September 1992, Rev. Gordon & Jan Norman accepted the invitation to come & pastor Mount Albion Pentecostal Church. Responding to changing times & fresh vision, a decision was made to re-name the church, and in January 2002, the congregation of Mount Albion Pentecostal Church embraced the name “King’s View Community Church”. Pastor Gord & Jan faithfully ministered at KVCC for 15 ½ years, completing their time of ministry on January 31, 2008.
On September 7, 2008, Rev. Jeffrey & Carrie Johnston came from the sunshine state of Florida, to become the new and current Pastors at Kingsview Community Church. KVCC is currently affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, a nationwide Fellowship of over 1,000 churches united together to spread the Gospel message at home and around the world.
